In the transition area from old to new laquer use Lacquer Repair Spray (84125) . Apply it from the new to the old coating and in thin layers. After each layer wait and see how the product flows on the surface to avoid any running. Allow time for the product to fully cure – this has a strong influence on the success of the coating.

TOP TIP Make sure the area where the lacquer is applied is free of all contaminants . Prior polishing facilitates subsequent reworking, ensures a smooth transition and prevents tear-off edges. The polished area must be degreased before the paint process starts. Applying Orange Fine Line Tape (85720 etc.) in the final step allows you to quickly and easily remove the tape directly at the edge of the clearcoat without having to remove all the masking material. Mask the repair area before and cover the contours with the tape.
